Production method of decorative paper

The present invention relates to a decorative paper suitable for ink-jet printing and comprising a base paper layer; a process for forming a base paper layer coated with an outer coating layer on the base paper layer; and substantially all of the above-mentioned pigments are present in the outer coating layer. In addition, the present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a decorative paper and the use of the decorative paper as described above!

For example, decorative paper is used in the manufacture of decorative laminates used as building materials, furniture manufacture, and interior surfaces. Traditional printing methods require large-scale production efforts to mass produce printed decorative papers. However, this method is not cost-effective and is not suitable for customized decorative APP applications that produce high-quality performance for small-scale production operations with the purpose of custom design and proof. Inkjet printing enables the manufacture of custom-order decorative laminates. Decorative papers suitable for ink-jet printing are known and generally contain a carrier material; the carrier material has an ink-receptive layer and optionally a further layer. The pigment present in the base paper layer has the effect of imparting opacity to the decorative paper. However, the use of pigments in the base paper layer has the disadvantage that a large amount of pigment is required in order to achieve the desired opacity of the decorative paper.

Another disadvantage of the known decorative paper is the accumulation of dust, which is particularly disadvantageous because the presence of dust can cause a blockage of the print head, which can lead to a failure to print automatically. In addition, frequent cleaning cycles of the recording head are required, which becomes a cause of ink outflow and head wear. Surprisingly, if the pigment is present only in the outer coating of the decorative paper, or is substantially absent, not only the opacity of the decorative paper can be improved, but also the dust deposition can be greatly reduced. The present invention therefore relates to a decorative paper suitable for ink jet printing comprising a base paper layer on which an outer coating is present, forming a coated base paper layer, wherein the decorative paper comprises one or more pigments, wherein substantially all of the pigments are present in said outer coating.

The outer coating of the decorative paper of the present invention has the function of receiving the ink from the ink jet printer. The overcoat layer may contain a hydrophilic coating material as appropriate, and in particular, polyvinyl alcohol, cationic polyvinyl alcohol, alginate, polyvinyl pyrrolidone, polyvinyl acetate, starch, hydroxymethyl cellulose (CMC), and mixtures thereof The overcoat layer may contain one or two or more wet strength agents or crosslinking agents as appropriate, but is preferably an agent selected from the group consisting of urea resin, melamine resin, epoxy resin, glyoxal resin, zirconium salt, and combinations thereof.

Suitable pigments which can be used in the decorative paper according to the invention are selected from the group consisting of titanium dioxide, aluminium oxide, aluminium hydroxide, silicon dioxide, talc, barium sulphate, kaolin and mixtures thereof. The pigment used is preferably titanium dioxide. The base paper layer of the decorative paper suitable for use in the present invention contains cellulose and one or more additives. Suitable additives include extender pigments, wet strength agents, cross-linking agents, storage promoters, fixatives, and combinations thereof. Softwood cellulose, hardwood cellulose or a mixture of both celluloses can be used to make the decorative substrate layer.

In order to apply decorative paper to inkjet printing, do not make the void ratio too high. Otherwise, the ink will penetrate too much into the makeup paper. In addition, the porosity of the decorative paper should not be too low. Otherwise, the penetration of the resin in the laminate is hindered, resulting in foaming and splitting of the layers.

Surprisingly, it has been found that the presence of substantially all of the above-mentioned one or more pigments in the above-mentioned topcoat layer of the above-mentioned decorative paper also results in an appropriate porosity.

Another advantage of the decorative paper according to the invention is that the decorative paper is substantially clean. This is particularly advantageous because the presence of dust greatly hinders the automated production of high-quality, consistent printed decorative papers.

Introduction to the advantages of impregnated paper, come and collect!

Melamine impregnated paper is divided into three categories: plain paper, printing paper and wear-resistant paper. According to the product application, it can be divided into two categories: face paper and base paper. Ordinary paper is different from original color paper and printing paper. The base paper is good, pure in color, not easy to change color, and the color of printing paper is relatively uneven. Generally, plain printing paper is used as base paper (multi-purpose laminate flooring, also called balance paper), which is widely used in cabinets and laminate flooring.

Impregnated paper features introduced, quick collection!

Impregnated paper is a mixture of non-woven wood pulp and PE and plant fibers. It has good absorption and anti-dissolution ability. Impregnated paper is also a very economical paper towel with low particle shedding rate. What are the characteristics of impregnated paper? Let's analyze it together. Impregnated paper wear-resistant, rich styles, impact resistance, no deformation, pollution resistance, flame retardant, moisture-proof, environmental protection, do not fade, easy to install, easy to take care of, can be used for floor heating, etc.

Dry goods sharing, one minute to take you to understand the development history of melamine impregnated paper

What is the development history of melamine impregnated paper? Let's take a brief analysis. Melamine impregnated paper is generally used for panel furniture, most of which are low-pressure and short-cycle forms, that is, the board is made by pressing for tens of seconds under high temperature and high pressure. In recent years, the synchronous disk produced by combining gelatin paper with steel plate and wood grain has been loved by people because of its good body texture.

What are the main indicators of melamine impregnated paper? Let's make a brief analysis together. 1. The amount of glue: the solid resin content of the decorative film paper (expressed as a percentage (%)). 2. Volatile content: the content (percentage (%)) of volatiles (mostly moisture and other small molecules) on decorative film paper. 3. Pre-curing degree: The curing degree of the resin is expressed as a percentage (%) on the decorative film paper.
